LAU CHEONG KEE 《劉昌記》
The Fan's family moved their brush manufactory from China to Hong Kong back in 1960s. From industrial brush to toothbrush, from plastic to wood, Lau Cheong Kee has strived its best to quality brushes.
Together with its introduction of bamboo toothbrushes, the brand new Lau Cheong Kee is aimed for sustainability of both the business and the environment.
ALIVE: #2
As the second product line of ALIVE, ‘modern’ and ‘retro’ are the two contradictory yet blend-able design elements of #2 (Number 2). Similar to other ALIVE’s lamp products, #2 has also incorporated the ‘Hong Kong Lampshade’ as a part of the design.
#2 is a streamline shaped desk lamp which resembles a spaceship.
ALIVE: Teahouse
ALIVE incorporated Guangdong-styled birdcage with the lampshade to create a modern-oriental floor lamp, namely Teahouse. Guangdong-styled teahouse was an iconic mark of Hong Kong, where all walks of lives spend their morning in the 60s-70s. Also, the hemisphere lampshade marks the industrial growth in Hong Kong during that time.
Together they compose the floor lamp ‘Teahouse’, which stand for the golden age of Hong Kong in two perspectives.
